Celebrating Success Together: The Joys of Achieving Milestones as a Small Business
Recently the Reactor team went down to Miami for an ambitious photoshoot with one of our favorite clients. Unfortunately we won’t be able to discuss the shoot for a little while but what we can talk about was the aftermath. No not post production, we’re talking about the importance of taking a second to stop and smell the roses. We all got into this industry because it brings us joy so why don’t we ever talk about the joy itself. Well that’s what we’re doing today as we show you some of our favorite images taken by our very own Nick Bumgardner while walking the Art Deco District with his Mamiya RB67 Pro SD film camera.
Celebrate what you’ve accomplished, but raise the bar a little higher each time you succeed.

Close-Knit Team Dynamics
To start this conversation we have to talk about one of the most invaluable assets when acting as a small business of any kind is the intimacy that comes with it. You celebrate together in the good times and rally together in the bad times. More specifically though, you understand what’s important to your teammates individually and the team as a whole. You feel seen and have the ability to make them feel seen so when a shoot comes together just right you know who on your team is responsible. But most of all the team successes become that much sweeter.
Every win is a team win.

Strengthening Team Bonds
When discussing achieving milestones one thing that is often overlooked is the celebration. We work in an industry of constantly pushing forward that it’s easy to forget to take a second to exhale, look around and celebrate what you’ve accomplished. Celebrating achievements isn't just about reveling in success; it's about fostering a culture of appreciation and resilience that sustains us through challenges and fuels our drive for future endeavors. Cars are incredibly powerful and complex machines that can do incredible things but if it doesn’t have any gas in the tank it ain’t moving.
I don’t chase extraordinary moments to find happiness- it’s right in front of me IF I’m paying attention and practicing gratitude
-Brené Brown
Boosting Morale and Motivation
Another piece of the puzzle is motivation. What is it that pushes you to want to work hard, besides revenge? For me nothing gets me more excited for a shoot than the last one. Rolling into a shoot with a team you not only trust but enjoy creates a set environment of comfort and efficiency that only comes from years of trial and error. When those successes start to become more frequent they build on each other and create the basis for a beautiful type of team wide work ethic. If iron sharpens iron then we're forging wonderful things together, each day building our skills and refining our craft until we've created something truly special.
A successful team is a group of many hands but of one mind.
